A zillion billion trillion thanks for steering us through potentially choppy waters to a safe harbour where the sailors feel much more comfortable. It’s the real skill of an experienced helmsman and much appreciated.”

Alan Rogers, Director, b-side festival

The creative sector has always been a fast-changing environment, and never more so than the current time.  With vast public spending cuts in process, this is a pivotal moment within cultural management.  Changes to how organisations and agencies work, and work together, are inevitable, but how to not just survive, but thrive?  These are questions arts managers are asking themselves at the moment, sometimes without the luxury of the timescales usually required for review, analysis and considered change.

In the last three years I have specialised in working with micro and small arts organisations, to help them:

  • Think through how how they operate, deliver their arts activity and plan for the future.
  • Conduct evidence based research that supports forward thinking, planning and development.
  • Provided a comprehensive external evaluation service for creative projects.
  • Provided relevant and up-to-date information, CPD and training on cultural policy, professional practice and careers in the arts.

If you think I can help you in any of these areas, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
