I can generally be relied on to talk intelligently at public events, including symposiums, conferences, panel discussions, surgery events and workshops. Contact me if you would like to discuss my participation in your event.
Recent events I’ve participated in include:
Acesso Cultura Annual Conference, Lisbon, Portugal. Keynote Speaker discussing art language and communication, October 2016.
Touring Exhibition Meeting, Istanbul, September 2015. Delivered a paper called “Are You Talking to Me? Writing Wall Panels for your Visitors”, providing an instant response to delegates examples, and signing copies of The Interpretation Matters Handbook.
South West Federation of Museums Conference 2014. I talked writing, galleries, and effective communication at this conference that focused on the question, What does the Public Really Want?
Panel Q&A at the Resonant Terrains, in October 2013, an innovatively programmed event by b-side multi-media arts festival. The event explored the question: “If festivals are the new platform, and sites the new venues, what do they offer artists, curators and audiences?”
My talk was titled: Contested Rhetoric: A public good or for the public’s good?
This image is from the Artsway Associates symposium, Beyond the Commision, where I gave a presentation, ran a workshop, and took part in this panel discussion with artists Simon Faithful and Alistair Gentry, Donna Lynas, Director of Wysing Arts Centre and Dida Tait of the Contemporary Art Society.
Other events include South Coast Towns Network, University of Brighton.
The Culture Business, Chichester University.
And Creative Tomorrows, Doncaster
